In Suriname – Theater voor Keti Koti festival

Op 1 juli herdenken we de afschaffing van de slavernij in Suriname en de Nederlandse Antillen. Op deze dag presenteren wij de bijzondere voorstelling In Suriname. De voorstelling duikt onze gezamenlijke geschiedenis in met een ode aan de Surinaamse literatuur en verhalen. Puttend uit bekende en onbekende teksten neemt deze leesvoorstelling je mee langs vele stemmen. Onze gidsen zijn oude en nieuwe Surinaamse schrijvers en andere helden. Ze brengen ons van toen naar nu en weer terug. We horen de kracht van Banya-liederen, verboden boeken, revolutionaire poëzie en oeroude verhalen. Met o.a. Jörgen Raymann, Noraly Beyer, Karin Amatmoekrim, Raoul de Jong en Pierre Bokma!
